VEIDEC Festival is Europes largest and Swedens only round in the FIA European Championship in dragracing. This year the Festival is arranged for the 37th time in a row. The Festival is arranged the last weekend in July, at the Mantorp Park track.

VEIDEC Festival is Europes largest and coolest dragracing event. There are 16 different competing classes, from raw streetcars to the extreme Top Fuel dragsters in the FIA European series. Dragracing at this level may be difficult to imagine if you never have experinced it live. To give you a hint of what it is about one can mention fats like a Top Fuel accelerates from 0-160 km/h in one (1!) second and reaches about 500 km/h in top-speed after 402 meters! To manage this the engines develop over 7 000 bhp, are run on high-octane nitromethane and sound something like a jetplane starting - in other words totally amazing and unbelievable!

Apart from the Top Fuel class there are another 4 car-classes that compete in the FIA European series: Funny Car, Top Methanol Dragster, Pro Stock and Pro Modified. There are also 3 bike classes competing in the FIA European series: Super Twin, Top Fuel Bike and Pro Stock Bike. Remaining classes (car and bike) compete in a Nordic Championship, NDRS.
