Swedish Touring Car Championship (STCC) is a touring car racing series based in Sweden, but also with rounds in Denmark. The series started in 1996 and will during the season of 2010 expand and merge with the Danish Touringcar Championship (DTC). Together they form the Scandinavian Touring Car Cup (STCC), which holds world class quality in every aspect of racing.

STCC has developed many successful drivers who have continued within international racing. One of the most well known is Mattias Ekström, who now is an active and very successfull driver in DTM (Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters). STCC is Scandinavias largest racing championship and attracts the best drivers and the best teams. This also makes STCC to one of the largest arenaevents, that in average attracts approximately 15.000 spectators per race. It is all about speed, excitement, skills, honour and victory!

A clear environmental profile and high technical knowhow has made STCC a strong and leading actor in todays international racing. Already in 2006 the E85 fuel was introduced in STCC, which then was followed up by the introduction of biogas during 2009.
