The second round of the European Championship took place at Santa Pod last weekend. For Team VEIDEC it was a weekend full of success and disappointment.

The qualifications began excellent for the team. All four Pro Stock-riders qualified which was a great success for the whole team. Especially the rookie-driver Karl Lyren made a great performance by producing his best time so far in the Pro Stock-series (7,48 sec). He later lost in the first round to experienced rider Jesper Thiel.

Kenneth Vik also faced the same faith as Karl, but both Anders Abrahamsson and Stavros Svrachos made it to the quarterfinals were they competed against each other. Svrachos won but was later disqualified for a minor mistake. Instead Anders went to the semifinals although he had some problems with his transmission during the quarterfinals. In the semifinals he lost an extremely close race to Gert-Jan Laseur.

The well organized Team VEIDEC PSB got a lot of exposure at Santa Pod from the media. Not only because of the good racing results but also because of the good organization, the tidy team and the well managed crew. The good results from all the four riders at Santa Pod gives Team VEIDEC high hopes for the next round in the championship in Alastaro, in Finland in July. .
