Due to circumstances the Pro Stock drivers in Team VEIDEC could not leave for Norway this weekend. A broken gearbox in the teambus changed the plans. Instead the team will do some testing in Lindesberg in Sweden the following weekend.
After the successful weekend in the premier race in Hungary the team was heading for home. But ten miles outside Budapest the gearbox in their bus broke down. The homecoming did not take place until Thursday evening which meant that the trip to Norway this weekend had to be cancelled.
– Of course it was a pity. But the gearbox could instead have broken down on the way to the race in Hungary and that would have been a much bigger disaster, team manager Roger Lyrén says.
Instead Team VEIDEC is focusing on the race in Lindesberg the following weekend. It will be a good opportunity to check the material of the rookie driver, Karl Lyrén. He is doing his first season in the Pro Stock-series and needs all the testing and training he can get.
