Fabulous weekend for the PSB-team in Hungary

2010-05-02

It was a fantastic weekend for Team VEIDEC at the season premiere in the Pro Stock Championship in Hungary. The new Norwegian driver in the team, Kenneth Vik made it to the final. Also Anders Abrahamsson had a good weekend although he got a red light in the semifinals against the final winner, Ulf Ögge.

As all the other teams, Team VEIDEC had been at the Kunmadaras racetrack in Hungary since Wednesday. The testing gave Anders Abrahamsson some indications that the Suzuki motorcycle was working well. Kenneth Vik had the same experience with his bike.
- Everybody in the team has been working so well. The mechanics have really done a good job with my bike, Kenneth Vik explained.

The team effort showed on the track and Vik made an impressive debut for team VEIDEC. On his way to the final he beat among others, Jesper Thiel, who was the fastest qualifier the day before. In the finals defending champion Ulf Ögge was too hard to beat.

- He was too fast today. But all the drivers were fast today. I´m very, very happy with the results and in Santa Pod I`m going win, says Kenneth Vik.

The veteran driver Anders Abrahamsson was not as happy losing in the semifinals to Ulf Ögge. Abrahamsson was a little too keen on the clutch and got a red light. But he still looks forward at the next race.
- I´m confident that I´ll make a good result at Santa Pod. The bike is working very well. This was the first race of the season on a new track. I`m not worried at all, says Anders Abrahamsson.
